This old house - rennovations

This is what the living room looks like with all of the tools & junk. It will look better soon!!!!

Terry checking his work - he's a perfectionist.

One of the bedrooms with new windows, trim, paint & doors - looking good.

We wallpapered the hallway & tore out the carpet - love the wood floors :-)

The hallway bathroom - completely redone - new bathtub, toilet, lights, wallpaper, paint, flooring - nice!

Hey Paula, I am NOT letting you come over to our house!!! Your house looks SO much better than ours! You guys have made a lot of progress! It is nice! Ours is barely livable... at least from my perspective! But you don't give me a lot of hope of getting out of here any time soon....yours is great, but how long did it take you to get there?? I am hoping to have ours done in like, 3 months! Wallpaper is the worst to take off!!! Anyway, we need to get together, at YOUR house :) next time you guys are here! Let me know! This is my last weekend to work at Marsh! :) -Anne

That's how I felt about our house, too. I wouldn't let anyone inside either. A certain preacher stopped by once unannounced with an IWU student in tow & I was embarrassed to no end - I was so mad at him!!! It took us probably 10 years to get to this point with the house. But Terry started rennovating when he was married to his first wife, then the divorce set him back financially, etc., then Thomson finally closed, then we moved up here, then laid off again & the economy went south. So a lot of factors came into play on how fast that house has been taking to get finished. It helped not living in the house & having all of the stuff out of it. But you certainly can come over first - you can see what yucky spots are left. I finally let a neighbor come inside & also Kathleen - she could tell you what a change she's seen in the house. Good luck - you'll eventually get there :-) Paula
